While you wouldn’t normally think of someone from Tokyo putting out chillwave tunes, LLLL is sure to change your mind about that. Their roots lie in jpop but what makes them unique is how they infuse elements of new wave and chillwave into their sound. They just released a self titled ep over on bandcamp and if I could pick a soundtrack to my dreams then this would be it. The high female pop vocals blend perfectly with the glittering synths and all around luminous atmosphere. Recommended for fans of Taquwami, Charli XCX, and Blackbird Blackbird.
